Las Positas College’s Automotive and Welding programs have connected with the CalWomenTech Project to increase the number of women in high demand occupations. Auto service departments increasingly need employees with technical training; and laboratories, fabrication shops, or general welding shops need employees proficient in shielded arc, flux core or MIG and TIG welding.
