The LINC Program is a partnership between the EOPS, Financial Aid
and Foster and Kinship Care. It links foster youth with support
services on and off campus to ensure a successful transition from
foster care to independent living.
Information about on-campus student support services such as the
Academic Support Center, CalWORKS, Career Center, Counseling, and
Student Health Center, as well as the Los Angeles County Independent
Living Program (ILP) for former foster youth is provided. LINC
addresses some of the challenges youth have including
transportation, housing and access to academic support services. The
program also organizes social events and activities for the
students. Students are succeeding and making progress toward their
educational goals and receive certificates recognizing their hard
work.
